UT’s School of Nursing offers two Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Programs – the Traditional BSN program and the Accelerated BSN program.

The Traditional BSN program is especially outlined for those without any nursing experience or any previous nursing education. The program lasts for 24 months and is offered during fall and spring semesters only. On the other hand, the Accelerated BSN program is perfect for those with previous nursing exposure. The program lasts for 15 months and applicants must already have a non-nursing baccalaureate degree to be admitted to this program.

Applicants to both programs must have a minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA and a minimum GPA of 3.0 (math/science). Completing TEAs Version 5.0 exam along with submission of application and fees are also required. After qualifying, a Non-Refundable Pre-Matriculation Seat Deposit of $500 will be required for in-state applicants.


2. San Antonio College Department of Nursing Education

The San Antonio College Department of Nursing Education offers a two-year program for the Associate of Applied Science degree. Completing this degree will enable the student to take the National Council Licensing Exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
